DOG OF THE MONTH

MALLEY

We are appealing for a home for one of our longest stay residents, the fabulous Malley! He is a dalmation cross who has came to us in January '09. He was rehomed briefly but sadly it didn't work out for him so he is still looking for the perfect person to give him his forever home. He is a typical excitable boy and as he is only young he is bursting with energy. He would love a home with an experienced dog owner who is able to give him the training he needs and a firm hand to control his enthusiasm. He is friendly with other dogs and loves people and needs a home where he won't be left alone for long periods.

If you think you could give Malley the loving home he's been waiting for please don't hesitate to get in touch on 01947 810787.

Dogs are taken in from the Dog Wardens throughout the area when they are due to be destroyed. We also take dogs from private homes.

  • We operate a non - destruction policy
  • We are run purely by volunteers
  • This year we expect to rehome more than 150 dogs

We cover the Whitby-Scarborough-Bridlington-Pickering-Malton area.

Unfortunately we are not legally allowed to take in stray dogs off the street.

If you find a stray dog you should...

Firstly, check if it has any identification which may allow you to contact the owner to return it.
If not, walk around the neighbourhood asking if anyone recognises the dog and may know where it comes from.
If you are unable to find the owner you should contact the Scarborough council dog warden during normal office hours (8.30-5.00, Mon-Fri) on 01723 232535 or outside office hours on 01723 351558.
